The Weakley County Schools Arts Festival

This year's festival will be held on Saturday, April 5 at Gleason School from 11 AM - 1:30 PM.

Submissions are currently being accepted at each school level in the categories listed below. Entries must be submitted to the Arts Festival Coordinator at each school. Schools will then identify the top three entries for each age-level and each category.

About the Weakley County Schools Arts Festival

The Weakley County Schools Arts Festival is a celebration of creativity and imagination in music and the arts through the talents of students representing all ages in all 10 of Weakley County's schools. The annual event highlights categories of painting, drawing, photography, as well as 3D, Sculpture, or Mixed Media. The festival boasts the interesting Upcycled Exhibition, which is the practice of repurposing unwanted objects or items in order to turn it into to a creative piece of genius. Upcycled this year included Guitars As Art. Incredible live music was provided by talented students who attend Weakley County Schools.

The mission of the Weakley County Schools Arts Festival is to celebrate and support the diverse artistic talents in all students, inspire creativity and collaboration among students, emphasize the importance of arts education, and engage families in nurturing artistic expression for child(ren) at home.

The top three works in each age-level and category will be identified by each school and submitted for judging by a panel of professionals in the art world. Judges will be evaluating creativity, skill, and overall presentation.
